Celebrating the life of
Patricia McGrath Sevier (Tricia)
September 26, 1933 - March 04, 2025

Patricia McGrath Sevier (Tricia) died peacefully on March 4, 2025.
Born to the late John and Imelda McGrath in Savannah, Georgia on September 26, 1933, Tricia was deeply rooted in her Irish heritage, a love she inherited from her parents. She grew up in the Old Fort, a place she cherished, and graduated from St. Vincent’s Academy in 1951. After high school, she met her beloved husband, George C. Sevier, Sr. and married at the Cathedral of John the Baptist in 1954. In addition to her parents, she was preceded her in death by George, as well as her sister, Imelda.
Tricia had a full life. She and George were beautiful dancers and spent many Friday evenings at Johnny Harris’ dancing under the stars. For many years, she worked for the Doctors Jules Victor and cherished her memories of that time. But her greatest joy was her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often spending time with them, sharing stories and laughter. She also had a special place in her heart for her dogs and garden.
Tricia is survived by her children, George (Robyn), Sharon (Ray), Susan, Michael, and Trisha (Arlen); grandchildren, Logan (Stephanie), John, Elizabeth, Shannon, Avery (Sally), Ryan (Jessianne), and David (Katherine); great-grandchildren, Baleigh, Leah, Louisa, Anna, Scarlet, Jack, and Logan. Tricia was blessed to meet and hold her great-great-grandchild, Garner. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Diana Gray and Brooke Clarke. Their loving care and car rides throughout Savannah, Tybee, and beyond were a source of comfort and joy for Tricia in her final days. Their dedication and compassion will always be remembered.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Fr. David Koetter officiating. A private burial will be held in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

I was not born and raised in Savannah, But I sure felt like it after spending little over a year with her. The History I learned from her on Savanna and Tybee was so educational for me. She loved her country rides she was so fascinated with trees. Oh and let's not for get our lunch at Chick-Fil-a. She sure loved her chicken sandwich. She is now in Heaven looking over all her loves ones. She was Blessed with a beautiful Family. My prayers and love go out the family. She will be missed and I loved her so. We are so sorry for the loss of your dear mother and our special friend. During our visits with her, there were always stories of her growing up in the Old Fort and childhood memories. She loved Savannah! Her family was her greatest gift and she loved each of you dearly. We have one of her paintings which I will always cherish. Rest in peace our dear Tricia. May God hold you in the palm of His hand. Catherine & Gary Cooper
